Elders
Our Elders oversee and shepherd the mission of the church with visionary leadership. They are selected from recommendations, interviews and affirmations involving congregational members. The Lead Pastor serves with the Board to develop staff, strategies and budgets within regularly reported metrics and well-defined limitations.
An Elder Is a Person Of:
CHARACTER - Those items listed in 1 Timothy 3:2-7 and Titus 1:6-9; respected by non-believers
COMPETENCY - Evidence of Holy Spirit — endowed gifts, combined with skill acquired through training and life experience. Evidence of servant-leadership within the church and exposure to board governance. A member with two years attendance.
COURAGE - An ability and willingness to defend the faith and speak the truth in love.
CALLING - Evidence or affirmation of God’s influence and prompting to serve in this leadership capacity.
