My Family Circus | Week 9

Nov 17, 2019    Brian Mills

God allowed us to try and make things right through our families, nations & heroes. Even though He knew it wouldn’t work, He wanted us to see for ourselves. His plan was always for Jesus to make things right. Jacob was a “deceiver” and a “wrestler” who preferred to “trip from behind” in passive-aggressive heel-grabs and cheap tricks. But eventually, he learns to face his Father-in-law, his brother, and his God. Instead of seeing our family issues as curses, we should see them as opportunities for redemption by God’s grace. Looking back at the relationships that hurt/challenge us, we can see God’s “amazing grace” in our lives. It is powerful to invite others to share our family stories so they can find hope for their own.
