What does it truly mean to gather as a church? This message challenges us to look honestly at what we center our lives and communities around, because what we gather around shapes who we become. Drawing from Hebrews 10:23-25, we are reminded of early Jewish Christians who faced intense persecution and social pressure, yet were urged to hold unswervingly to their hope and not give up meeting together. That ancient call echoes powerfully into our own lives today. The passage is not simply a command to attend church services. It is an invitation to anchor ourselves to something that cannot be shaken. The gospel, understood in its fullness as the story of a Creator God, humanity's deep and core-level sinfulness, and the atoning work of Jesus Christ, is the only center strong enough to shape us, unify us, and send us outward for the good of those around us. When we gather around anything else, whether a building, a budget, a personality, or a style, we end up with something far smaller than what God intends. But when the gospel is genuinely at the center, something remarkable happens inside us and around us.
