Be Courageous

Isaiah 41:10
9 I took you from the ends of the earth, from its farthest corners I called you. I said, 'You are my servant'; I have chosen you and have not rejected you. 10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. 11"All who rage against you will surely be ashamed and disgraced; those who oppose you will be as nothing and perish."

In this passage the Lord is declaring that his people will be filled with his strength. When we are baptized and claim the Lord as our Savior we are accepting his invitation for his team. This does not mean that we will never fail but that in the end God and his team will live in eternity together. His will, will prevail. While we are on earth we need to live every day with courage and faith in the Lord. We need to live like we know that God is in every step. As we walk with the Lord we need to walk with courage and not allow our fears, enemies, or trails hold us back from taking bold, courageous steps.

Last week we lived intentionally for God. In every step we took we attempted to focus our lives around God. This week we are going to live courageously for God! This may feel similar but there is a slight shift in focus. This week continue to live every day for God but take some steps of courage. What has been holding you back? Think that through and then figure out what would be courageous for you? Would it be to talking to your friends about your faith? Or maybe praying out loud at a meal? Could it be dedicating one hour less of sleep to getting up early and reading your bible? Find something that you have been afraid of doing and try to accomplish that throughout your week!
God we thank you for this community we have built. I thank you for the students reading this devotional, searching for you. God this week we want to use the strength that comes from you and live courageously. We want to further your kingdom. God please shine light where you want us to have courage. God, fill us with your Holy Spirit and allow us to show others who you are through our daily living. In your sons name, Amen.
